I really am speechless. That's not totally true, else I wouldn't be typing and eventually posting this online, but I digress. Obama, president. we're all doomed.

So I saw some stats from the exit polls...95% of blacks voted for Obama. That's a pretty significant statistic, in my opinion. One that won't be talked about, except for here, because it's bugging me, so I'm talking about it. 95%. Imagine if 95% of white people voted for McCain. I know I know, it's not the same thing. He wouldn't have been the first old white man to be President. I'm just saying it's interesting.

I can't believe that 95% of blacks liked Obama's positions on the major issues and it was just a bonus that he was black. That would be ignorant. So why am I still talking about this, angering a good percentage of the few that will read it? I just think the psychology behind all of this is interesting, is all. What about the blacks that support McCain? Or independents? Or Hillary? Do they forget their beliefs to help make history? If I were in that position, I would feel inclined to vote for Obama, however that would be a decision made with emotions rather than logic, which is probably not the best thing for this country. Obviously most chose the easy way, Obama. Nobody wants to be harassed for abandoning their heritage or not taking pride in where they came from. How symbolic would it be to see the first black President of the US elected? Just 50 years after horrible problems with racism? But are these good reasons to vote someone in to the most important office in the world? Uhh, no. In my own humble opinion, those are retarded reasons. Why not just vote Michael Jordan in? Or the guy who played Apollo Creed? They probably have just as much real experience as Obama but they're AWESOME! My point is, we need to vote someone in based on how well we think they'll perform the duties required of them, not based on race, or how hot their Vice President is, or how creepy McCains laugh is.

Quickly, I don't quite understand how the popular vote can be as close as 52/47 percent and the electoral vote is almost 3 to 1 for Obama. Something with the varying number of electoral votes in each state maybe? I mean, Obama got the majority and won, I'm not denying that or claiming that there was fraud involved (although inevitably there will be a small number of isolated incidents, nothing enough to affect 5 million votes or however many it will finally be once all numbers are official.), I obviously just don't fully understand the electoral system.

Next up, on the ballot in the land of the "Governator (who will now have to remove a large foot from his mouth sometime before meeting the new "skinny man" president), gay marriage. 53% of voters in California are for a statewide ban on gay marriage. Way to go California. You might not get annexed after all.

And in Minnesota the race is "too close to call" at this time, but Al Franken might win! Don't know which is worse, Obama, or Franken. Franken is open about being crazy, he doesn't hide it. Obama on the other hand...he hides his crazy side in the same place he stashed his real birth certificate.

Well, it's past 4am now, and I do have a job to go to, else I would've voted Obama! I'm sorry, I couldn't resist. Get your guns while you can folks. Blog it up. Listen to talk radio. Drive your car with 3 flat tires and no muffler. Take that paycheck and invest it, in your business, your savings, whatever it may be. This new administration is all about working for each other. If you make a lot, why not pay a significant increase in your taxes so your hard earned money can go to someone who has not earned it? It's all about "leveling the field" as our new President put it. Whatever money you have left over will be used to negotiate the myriad of government intervention soon to be in our lives (just wait, you'll be thinking "Didn't someone tell me this was going to happen? Oh yeah..."). Sooner rather than later, it will no longer be yours to do with as you please. You may think I'm freaking out, exaggerating, maybe I am. Probably, even. Some of it is I don't like change. Obviously. I sincerely hope that I am wrong about Obama and the Democrats. Maybe we'll just pay a little more taxes for Gore and his church of man-made Global Warming and let the world fight it's own battles, or maybe we're all doomed.

:o)

Text Messages from "The Man"?

Are you ready to start getting text messages from "The Man"? Well it's in the works, so you better be. The FCC has given it's approval to a new program which would task a yet to be appointed federal agency with creating the messages, which would be sent to the participating cellular carriers with information regarding "extreme terrorist attacks, weather disasters and Amber Alerts.

That's just what I need, the Department of Homeland Security sending me text messages that say "I just wanted to talk" or "what're you thinking about?".

But seriously, I wouldn't mind this assuming it was used for the purposes I mentioned earlier. I don't think we need a brand new government agency to do this, either. Beyond the initial setup and organizing the communication between the agencies providing the alerts, maintenance should be relatively simple and wouldn't require much manpower to administrate.

Apparently you can opt out of the messages just like any other premium text message, so I may take advantage of this option should I start getting text messages that start with FW:

Whats the Buzz about The Buzz?

To: 94.7 The Buzz
From: Rockin Republican

Well, guys, you’ve done it this time. You play non-stop Metallica for 2 days or so repeatedly referring to some announcement to take place that Monday morning at 10am, then play a series of retarded sound clips ending in you guys saying F#$% YOU to The KATT. You then launched into the next songs in the rotation, without an explanation.

I turned my radio off, and with great restraint, I was somehow able to stop myself from smashing my clock radio into bits too small to be identified by an electron microscope. Let me lay the groundwork for this fateful morning. I was listening to your station all weekend at work, at home, in my car. Sunday evening, I went bowling and drank…a lot. Sleep came to be at about 5 a.m., but I had set my alarm for 9:58 a.m. anyways JUST so I could wake up in time to hear your friggin announcement. Don’t get me wrong, every time I heard another Metallica song come on, even though I knew it was coming, I still felt like yelling out “HELL YEAH” (or some equally metal-sounding phrase).

As any rational person would infer, I was not looking forward to waking up so early after a studious night of tom foolery, but I was willing to make the sacrifice. You know why? Because I thought you were going to make an announcement that had something to do with METALLICA. Why would I think that? Because you played NOTHING BUT METALLICA FOR 2 F#$%ING DAYS and kept talking about an announcement Monday morning at 10. If you were just going to switch your format to include 80’s butt-rock, you could’ve played nothing but spandex-wearing, hairspray heavy, dude-looks-like-a-lady BUTT ROCK!

Sweet mother of GOD! You guys practically played the same thing as the KATT BEFORE you “switched formats”. Every damn time the KATT played some weak assed song from Nickelback, I’d switch it to The Buzz to see if you were playing something better only to find the EXACT same song on your station. Occasionally you would switch it up and just play another song from Nickelback. You practically mirrored the KATT 90% of the time.

And another thing, most of your DJ’s sound like you got them from Square Dancing FM in Canada. The KATT DJ’s have a voices that sound like they’ve been rocking the block since the dawn of time. Guys that know that Kill Em All was originally called Metal Up Your Ass, but the record companies wouldn’t put that on their label, so they named it Kill Em All. I don’t want to listen to some DJ that sounds like he wouldn’t know Dimebag Darrell, God bless his soul, from Donny Osmond.

I’ll be honest, I may still check out your station every once and a while if all of talk, sports, and music radio has nothing better to provide me, but that’s gonna be tough, guys. I’d go ahead and slap whoever decided to play nothing but Metallica for 2 days straight.

Furiously,
\m/ Rockin Republican \m/

Master Gates

Ladies and gents, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank SECDEF Robert Gates for reading my blog and responding to my cry for answers. (see here)

I don't really have much to say about it at this point. We appear to be focusing on not so much the singular thought that they deactivated their nuclear weapons program in 2003, but the fact that they are now equipped to restart it, and at a much more competent level than they were in 2003.

Theoretically speaking, the international pressure will continue for unfettered access to Iran's nuclear facilities for IAEA and other inspectors as well as documentation of any nuclear programs/projects of note. We may even throw in some penalties that actually HURT Iran so they maybe think about listening to us.

They're toying with us. Today, Iran, the worlds fourth largest exporter of oil, announced they will no longer use the American dollar for oil transactions due to the dollar being an "unreliable currency".

On a completely unrelated note, it's cold as a witches tit (sorry Cassa) outside. My windshield was frozen over when I left work at 11:15pm this evening. Yet, there's thunder and lightning and rain. This will be brief, but I'll post again soon. Seriously.

A new NIE (National Intelligence Estimate) has been released regarding Irans nuclear program. Per this new NIE, Iran shut down their nuclear program in 2003 and is showing "no signs of restarting the program".

Here's a link to the article.

Now I don't want to burst anyone's bubble here, but if Iran shut down their nuclear program in 2003, why didn't Ahmadinejad just come out and say that? Why does he consistently state that he will never stop Iran's nuclear program if it is already stopped?

Am I the only one that thinks this doesn't make sense?

Todays Rant.

So I was sitting here tonight trying to find something to post about. I wanted to talk about Mrs. Edwards newest solution for "global warming". Tangerines. That's right. Those little orange bastards. So sweet, and yet, sour at the same time. A multi-faceted fruit of all fruits. Oranges quiver at the raw power of the tangerine. But, I digress. She has come out and made a public statement proclaiming she will stop eating tangerines as she is on the east coast, and they have to be trucked all across the US just so she can have one. Thus, increasing the carbon footprint on those-there tangerines. This is the most retarded thing I have ever heard--from Mrs. Edwards--today.

Moving right along. There were multiple bombings today in Iraq. News? I say yes. You may say, "We hear about that all the time, why is that news?" First off, we are in a war in Iraq right now. We have men and women risking their lives on a daily basis to fight an enemy that wears no uniform. They follow no Geneva Conventions, even though we do. They follow no code of honor, they kill innocents to make a statement. We should, on a daily basis, recognize the fact that we are at WAR and recognize the sacrifices that are being made for this cause. We also should recognize the sacrifices that the civilians are making as well. Every day they practice and experience new freedoms for the very first time, and, barring fanatics, they seem to be liking it.

The US has taken over two hundred years to grow to what we are today and Congress is proposing bill after bill after bill after bill after bill (this may seem redundant...THATS THE POINT) to get us out of Iraq and just leave the Iraqis hanging in the wind after having less than 5 years to go from Saadam to soccer mom's? This process (starting up a democracy were one has NEVER been) takes a little time.

Back to the bombings. Iraqis were celebrating an Iraqi soccer match victory when a suicide bomber exploded in the crowd near a popular ice cream parlor and killed more than 30 innocent people. Roughly 45 minutes later, in a different city, another explosion killed more than 20.

So the Democrats (and some castrated Republicans) want us to leave without finishing the job? They can look at the pictures of the blasts and the body count and literally duck your tail, turn around and run? You see some men beating the hell out of a campaign contributor, I bet my left...pinky, that you would be moving mountains to help them. You see some Iraqi's getting blown to bits by a terrorist organization making major moves into Iraq and also attacking our soldiers, and "it's time for Iraqi's to step up and handle their own business so we can go home?" What is this, sink or swim with IED's?

The Dems think they're going to take office. They want us out before this becomes their baby. They don't care about the costs. Remember Vietnam? I don't (apparently, neither does John Kerry), but I do know from history that when we left Vietnam, thousands of people were slaughtered in "re-education camps". According to John Kerry, he knows of plenty of people people from the camps who, to put it in my own words, got over it. Nobody died because we left, or so John Kerry claims.

Our only hope is that one of the Republican candidates somehow makes a huge turnaround with fund raising and somehow turns into a leader for the Conservative party. Or, an unknown candidate comes in and woos us all. God help us if Hillary gets elected. Ayn Rand keeps coming to mind when I think of Hillary at the helm of the US. If you haven't read her books, PLEASE get Atlas Shrugged. And read it.

Oh, I'll TRY and post in the next few days on the recent "Debate" that CNN/YouTube hosted. What a joke. "Look to the person to your left and tell them something you don't like about them, look to the person on the right and tell them something you DO like about them." ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I'm done.

It's a Pol!

I put up a poll. That’s a few more than I thought. So, tonight, I write this blog in your honor. You unnamed few. Seriously, I won’t tell anyone you’re reading my blog. You can keep reading.

Ahhh…what to write about? Illegal immigration would be the obvious pick. Do I want to be obvious, though? Sometimes obvious is good, but, tonight, is not sometimes. It’s tonight. And, since the immigration bill is dead, at least for a few years, we can talk about that some other time.

The Fairness Doctrine. The lib’s new Golden Child. Now that they don’t have to convince us that Americans won’t wash dishes and mow lawns, they can cram the Fairness Doctrine down our throats. It’s a big one, so they’ll have to use both hands and put some elbow grease into it.

The idea is this: They don’t like what talk radio is saying right now, since it’s predominantly (90%) right wing. To restore order, they want to have equal time on all radio programs to voice their “side” of any story they choose.

For example, Rush Limbaugh has Ann Coulter on his show. They take 5 minutes to discuss some political issue; the war in Iraq. They say that they stand with Bush on Iraq and don’t want to have the soldiers brought home until our military leaders on the ground tell us that the Iraqi Police and Military branches will be able to keep order. A MoveOn.org lefty doesn’t agree. He wants to blame Bush for Saddam, Iraq, and the end of the TV series Knight Rider. Under the rules of the proposed “Fairness Doctrine”, anyone who disagrees has the right to call and demand equal airtime on that program to discuss their views on the topic.

First off. Sponsors pay for advertising spots to keep these shows on the air. Sponsors pay big bucks to be put in spots during popular programs because they will receive the most exposure with those, obviously. If any schmuck can call in and take up time on a nationally syndicated program to voice their retarded opinion, the ratings will go down. Millions of people choose those shows because they like the host, Rush, or Michael Savage, or Matt Drudge…not some jackass sitting at home at his computer wearing a tin-foil hat in his Mom’s basement. Without sponsors, no money. No money, no show. It’s free radio folks. Don’t know if you noticed that. You don’t have to pay monthly to listen to AM radio, they make money through sponsors. That’s it. That’s how it works.

Secondly. Why aren’t they talking about fairness on TV? Hardball with Chris Mathews? Keith Olbermann? I don’t see them wanting to give equal air-time to conservatives who want to call in to disagree with Keith. Why is it only radio? Because radio is dominated by Conservatives and the Right. TV and Movies are dominated by liberals and Hollywood (pretty much the same thing).

Look, people. The Fairness Doctrine is nothing but the left wanting to shut up conservative radio. They’re pissed off because Heir America didn’t pan out, so now they’re going after Rush and others. They don’t want to come on the show and debate politics and make their voice heard, they just want talk radio to stop pointing out what should be obvious to everyone else. There is no debate with Liberals. They know they can’t stand up to the truth, so they want it blotted out. Too late. The gig is up. The Fairness Doctrine will never happen.

Besides, aren’t there more important things to be legislating than this? Like why can’t we get more than 2 miles of border fence built in 2 years? We can send men to the moon, but for some reason we can’t get a freakin fence built on our border? Let’s figure out ways to enforce laws we have, that would be cool, right?

Whew. That rant felt great. A little bit of this, a little bit of that. Good stuff. More to come.

"Global Warming"

Sorry for the delay in posts.

“Please God, let this be the last time I have to seriously think about Global Warming.”

My brother, sister and I took my Mom out for a belated Mothers Day today as she was out of town last Sunday. We went to the park, had a picnic. We let her take some goofy family pictures. While this was going on, every once and a while someone would mention the fact that it’s pretty cool for this time of the year. It’s May, just in case you don’t know what month it is. May is notorious, at least in Oklahoma, for being hot. Not 120 degrees, but we should at least be hitting the 90’s on a regular basis by now. Today I would bet my left pinky it was less than 75 all day. In May. SUMMERTIME.

Why is this? Every day I turn on the news and see someone telling me that I personally am responsible for the cyclical weather changes the world goes through. Some have likened disbelief in “Global Warming” to holocaust deniers. I can’t count the number of times I’ve heard “The debate is over, global warming is real.”

Nobody has a decent answer as to why the world got warmer when there were no SUV’s, thousands of years ago. A friend at work actually told me cavemen could’ve caused it with their campfires and other non-environmentally friendly activities (like flinging poo).

Leonardo DiCaprio and Al Gore are flying around in their private jets, taking caravans of bullet proof SUV’s to Greenie meetings and events. Practice what you preach, eh?

How bout this? Water vapor caused 95% of the greenhouse effect, or “global warming”. What’s the other 5% you ask? Methane (cow farts), carbon dioxide, nitrogen dioxide and others. Carbon Dioxide, Co2, made up most of that 5% (3.6%)

Here’s the million dollar question:

How much of the total greenhouse effect are humans responsible for?

0.12%. If we’re killing the planet, we did it with a spitball in the library. Absurd? Exactly.

Here’s something else. An 18 year old in Canada was forced to watch Al Gore’s film, “An Inconvenient Truth”, 4 times this year in HIGH SCHOOL. Just in case you didn’t notice, I capitalized that to show emphasis. Canada’s Public School system has bought God knows how many copies of this movie and are making their students watch it over and over again. This makes me wonder how many students in the US may have been forced to watch this trash.

Folks, lets grow a backbone here. Just because someone tells us something over and over and over, doesn’t make it true. I mean seriously. The guy who played in Titanic tells you Global Warming is real, so you think “He’s been in movies, he’s got to be right.” Al Gore gets a few scientists to say they believe in Global Warming, and all of the sudden that means it’s fact. Even though the scientists knew nothing about weather or climate as they were anthropologists, or physicists, we’re still supposed to give credence to their poorly reached opinions.

You know what’s happening all along the way as we argue and fight for the truth to be heard? Millions of dollars are being made. Web sites are selling “carbon credits” to make people feel better about making up part of the .12% of the man-made greenhouse gasses. How much time has Al Gore spent on global warming that could’ve been spent fighting poverty and disease and famine around the world. Darfur is real and people are dying there in droves. Man-mad global warming can’t kill thousands of people. Sure, it might get hot some day and we might have a tornado, or earthquake or even a tsunami. That doesn’t mean that we could’ve prevented it by driving less. .12%, people. Come on.

Doesn‘t anyone think it‘s time to move on from global warming to something that‘s a real problem, like whether or not Santa lost any of his reindeer with the recent pet food recalls from Chinese manufacturers.

Eyemus.

Wow. At least the Imus story isn't big anymore. Don't get me wrong, it's a horrible tragedy that transpired at VT and the students and family are in my prayers. I'm just tired of seeing Imus' old mug on TV.

With that being said, let me make a few comments on this. Imus called the girls on the Rutgers Women's Basketball team "Nappy-headed hoes(sp?). I would be willing to bet my left testicle that if it wasn't for the good "Reverends", then none of these women would have been offended, they probably would never have known he existed. Imus has said some crazy things over the years, but people still listened. They still tuned in to hear what he had to say, so advertisers would still pay tons of money to get slots during his show because it would get them more exposure to the listeners than going with, say...Air America. So after his last comment, the Reverends heard about the "nappy headed hoes" and decided this would be their crusade. Now honestly, I think they would've been better off if they had waited for the right time and gone against, well, a conservative. That way this at least made some sense, but NOOOOOO, they don't want to make sense. That's because they DON'T make sense. It's not an option for them.

Imus profusely apologized after being told of his mistake. He even agreed to meet with all the girls on the basketball team and let them individually and collectively "rip him a new one". The players accepted his apology and the offer to meet him and where satisfied when the meetings were finished. But no, that wasn't enough. The studio had suspended Imus for two weeks, Imus raised over one million for a charity fund raiser AND he apologized in person to the girls on the team. They said "Nope, we want him fired."

They're reverends, or so I assume from the "Reverend" moniker. I'm pretty sure they believe in forgiveness as they have asked for others forgiveness in the past after they have made mistakes. They were forgiven and were able to continue with their jobs/shows with no issues. Now when Imus says something that just gets their goat, well, it's time for him to be fired. They raised such hell that the advertisers pulled out, hence, Imus was fired. No show without sponsors, no Imus with the show, it's that simple.

I can't think of a bigger case of hypocrisy, at least, not right now. I'm sure people will point out several in an effort to prove that I'm retarded, but, oh well. What about all the rap songs that talk about hoes? Ludacris has a whole song about them, he probably uses the word "Ho" at least 30 times in the 3-4 minute long song. How many other rap songs repeatedly talk about "bitches" and "nigga (supposedly okay because they misspelled it; the logic defies me)". I don't buy the argument "Well, white people gave us that word when we were slaves, so only we can use it but if you do, it's racist, and we are offended." That's bullshit. It's...ludicrous?

I'm starting to ramble, sorry. My point was, if you're lobbying to have a radio show host fired because he said something you didn't like, you need to do one of two things. You could fire him and Rosie O'Donnell (recently made fun of the Chinese saying things like "Ching chang chow" and making wild gestures) and all the rappers and...EVERYONE else who has ever said anything that could offend anyone. "What about free speech?", you say? Good question. Apparently they want to throw it out the window to avenge someone they've never met and to make a point. My goal was to show the idiocy of this viewpoint, I think I succeeded.

The second option would be to turn it off if we don't like it. Be mature. If you don't like the Fish sandwiches at McDonalds, you don't have to eat them. You ESPECIALLY don't have to lobby for weeks on end to have McDonalds completely remove the Fish Sandwich from their menu just because you don't like them, just eat something else or stop going there. Eventually, if enough people stop going to their restaurants because they smell like old fish ass, then McDonalds will probably stop selling it. Otherwise, maybe some people do like those fish burgers. They might be legally insane for eating fish at McDonalds, but, to each his own.

That was way too long of a metaphor, but it's my blog and I'll use metaphors when I want to. I hope this all makes sense to someone. I probably could've made it about 200 words shorter, but who DOESN'T like beating a dead dog?

Or is it just me?

Last thing, I'll be posting on the VT incident soon. I feel like I have to since it is a fairly significant event, it's just been covered so much in the last few days, it's hard to come up with anything that hasn't already been harped on over and over and over and over and over and over...

Am I lazy?

Am I lazy? Baby steps...

According to Rosie, Bush intentionally sent our troops into Iran to be captured, all so he could pick a fight with Iran. Does Bush really need an excuse to turn Iran into a giant mirror? I mean, come on, it would help with global warming, right? Save the polar bears and all that? But, I digress. Lets see...we keep finding Iranian Elite Military members helping the insurgency in Iraq. Ahmadenejad (I-Wanna-jihad) repeatedly talks of eradicating all the Jews. Oh yeah, and pretty much everyone in the world thinks Iran having nukes akin to letting George Michaels be a school bus driver, it's just plain dumb. Needless to say, I don't really see any need for an excuse.

I'm about to blow your mind Rosie, the money you paid me to let you secretly (oops, call Fitzgerald!) subscribe to my blog will finally pay off. What if the President of Iran is intentionally instigating conflict in an effort to raise the oil prices? I think I heard somewhere that Iran has a little bit of oil don't they? Maybe a couple gas stations or something? OH YEAH! They're one of the top oil producing countries in the world. If we could see them, they (Ahmadenejad and the Sean Penn) are frolicking down the street, hand in hand. Well what're they doing with the other hands? I knew you'd ask. They're holding our money of course!

Iran needs to be dealt with. I hope the international community starts to see it my way or we're in big trouble. Meanwhile, on a lighter note, the awards ceremony...

"CONGRATULATIONS ROSIE, YOU WIN!"

"Really? What's the prize?"

"Well Rosie, that's nice of you to ask. Are you ready? I know I am. You get to...SHUT---YOUR---PIE HOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLEEE!

That's all for tonight folks. I'm your humble host, Rockin Republican."

US Federal Prosecutors

What the hell is going on?

Over the last few months or so, it’s become increasingly obvious that the liberal left wants a head on a platter. Or multiple heads on a platter, to be more accurate. Let us start with Scooter. Libby, that is. Although, on a side note, I think it would have been prudent for Libby to change his first name to James, or Walter…anything but Scooter. It would be like going to the doctor for a risky, highly invasive medical procedure and finding out your doctor’s name is Cletus. The name doesn’t exactly scream competence, but, I digress.

Scooter Libby was under investigation for the supposed outing of a “covert” CIA operative, Valerie Plame. By the way, Valerie? If you need someone to go under covers with, I’m your man. Call me…

Moving right along. Fitzgerald, the Federally appointed Prosecutor for the case found there were no grounds to charge Libby with anything related to the original crime in question. Obviously, Fitzgerald found that Plame wasn’t “undercover” according to the Undercover Act she was supposedly being protected by, or he would have filed charges as such. There were multiple requirements for an operative to be labeled as “undercover” or “covert”, and Plame, needless to say, did not meet these requirements. Yes, she worked for the CIA. At a desk. Maybe she “covertly” did paperwork at her desk. Hopefully in a miniskirt. Did anyone notice she’s pretty hot for her age? Being a spy just makes her hotter. Sorry, back on point. So no charges were filed for the “outing” of Valerie Plame, but yet after the verdict, she’s testifying before congress that she was undercover and was outed as part of Bush’s political agenda.

Two things. First, Fitzgerald knew before going into the trial that Armitage was the one who had leaked her identity, covert or not. But yet he still attempted to charge Libby for it? Does this make sense to anyone? How about the jurors that said “Why didn’t we get to go after Rove?” Rove? Where the hell did he come from? The jurors all knew by the time they walked out of there that Armitage was the one behind the leaking, yet they still wanted to go after Rove and the Bush Administration.

So we’ve pretty much established that liberals want one thing…power. To do so, heads must roll. Rumsfeld was first. Libby was the second. They wanted Rove, but so far, Bush has kept his boy Rove out of the spotlight. Their next target: Alberto Gonzalez. They want him fired because he fired some federal prosecutors, which he legally has been given the power to do so. prosecutors work at the will of the President. The current administration brought multiple cases for them to try; illegal immigration, gun control, obscenity to name a few. The cases were refused by the attorneys in question. Now mind you, these people are here to serve the President, who will give them cases based on the political views and policies of the administration. If these attorneys won’t try the cases that are important to the administration, then it is their prerogative to fire them and find people who will.

The worst part about all of this? Clinton fired ALL 93 of the federal prosecutors less than 3 months after taking office. Not 10 or 20 of them, all of them. Now the libs argument doesn’t directly address this fact as they have no logical rebuttal; they do make claims that the fired attorneys were all investigating the Bush Administration for miscellaneous improprieties. And I’m sure Bill Clinton wasn’t under ANY investigations at all being that he was such a morally upstanding man who never did anything wrong. I’m sure none of the people fired were conservatives who shivered at the thought of following Clintons liberal agenda. Look people, Bush has done nothing illegal. He has simply fired some of his staff.

If my boss tells me to create a spreadsheet by tomorrow, and I tell him no because I believe spreadsheets are bad for the environment, then I should expect him to find someone else who will do some freaking spreadsheets. That’s the way jobs work. You do what your boss tells you to do, and he sends you paychecks (hopefully) every once and a while.

In closing I ask only this, why is Bush letting the libs get away with this? Where did his balls go? He’s letting the libs devour his administration like Rosie at an All U Can Eat buffet.

Today we finally saw Bush stick up for Gonzalez, but we’ll see how far that goes. Hey, George? I know you’re reading this. Listen guy, it’s time to show the Dems who wears the pants in the White House. Is it Nancy Pelosi? Harry Reid? Chuck Schumer? Ted Kennedy?

Well, I certainly hope Ted isn’t behind the wheel of 1700 Pennsylvania, or behind the wheel of anything for that matter. Honestly, the Kennedy’s just need to stay away from all vehicles. The younger Kennedy thinks Sleeping Pills are something you take in preparation for going to the bar. The elder Kennedy thinks cars with girlfriends in them tend to float when driven into lakes (through scientific experimentation, Kennedy was able to prove his hypothesis false). And last, but not least, well, I think it’s probably too early to joke about the “Flying Kennedy”…or not flying, as it may be…

Bio Fuels.

Bio fuels. Sounds exciting, right? It's not, but, it's important. Well, I'll let you decide on that.

Amid concerns on importing oil from the Middle East and all of the hubbub on "Global Warming", bio fuels are a hot topic. When my brother sent me this article, I figured I'd post on it. Good story? I thought so.

Back on point. The topic of the story is corn ethanol and it's benefits. I'll summarize if you're too lazy to read the article(I JOKE!). Many factors come in to play when we discuss using corn ethanol as an alternative fuel. I believe in a past post I might have touched on at least one of them.

First of a few, the efficiency of the process itself. In other words, how much of the energy in the corn ethanol would be necessary to produce the ethanol, likewise with gasoline or any other fuels used. For gasoline, the process only takes about 6% of the total energy in the gasoline produced. Well corn ethanol has GOT to be better than that, right? Well, it's not. Not really close, at this point. After you factor in all of the energy required in the production/transportation process you only have about 25% of the ethanol left. So for gas, you had about 94% left.

That doesn't really sound that cool to me. Granted, corn ethanol has better CO2 emissions than gasoline, but that's a whole other story. A story in which I will quickly enlighten you. Guess what was the number one source of greenhouse causing gasses in the atmosphere? Cows. That's right. Methane from cows flatulence is worse for the environment than all our cars and trucks and planes combined! Good news Sean! You can stop paying websites because you have a SUV, just go kill a few cows! But, I digress.

We're back at corn ethanol. We already covered how efficient it is at this point to produce the fuel. The next thing is what I had previously touched on, so I'll be brief. Mexicans can't eat enchiladas without tortillas. Otherwise it's just a pile of crap on a plate. The price of tortillas in Mexico has risen drastically due to the increases in corn consumption for fuel. Since farmers are going to try and plant whatever is the most profitable, they are going to go to the white corn, which is used for the ethanol. The production of the yellow corn, which is used in the tortillas, decreases, causing increases in the price. Also, keep in mind, if yellow corn prices go up because farmers are finding it more profitable to go with the ethanol production, then other things like soybeans and wheat and even cotton could see skyrocketing prices! Think of the chaos. Children will jump for joy at never having to eat soy meat burgers because their parents don't want to hurt the cows, the nation will be constipated because no one can afford to have enough wheat products in their diets and we'll all have to wear polyester!

If that made sense to anyone and I don't have it all wrong, then you just got yourselves a free basic economics lesson. Don't worry, this one's on me.

Alright, this is starting to go longer than I expected. I'll let you guys read the article. The gist of this is that it seems we need to look at making cars more efficient using gas, while at the same time exploring alternative fuels, like hydrogen. All we need is to come up with is warp engines and we're set. Dammit, where's Scottie when you need him?

F'ing Priceless.

I've been waiting for this day for quite some time now. I've been lurking in the shadows, camouflaged, waiting for the perfect opportunity to launch a salvo of reality right into your house.

A company based out of Sydney will take a contribution of $8 from you and use it to offset your cats flatulation. You think I'm joking? Click the link, see for yourself.

This is friggin ridiculous. I bet you Ryan has already offset both his and his neighbors cat in a fit of guilt brought on by the liberal left and the media they control. Do you libs really feel so guilty that you'll actually pay someone money to offset your cats farts?

Seriously?

Well, I've got a deal for you. If you send me $30, I'll plant enough trees to offset you AND your cat's flatulations. You've ruined the environment by farting too much! Send me your money and you can stop feeling guilty about it.

Here's an idea, how about you plant a tree? Or pick up trash that you see laying on the ground when you walk into work? (That's for all you Sprint Employees). Or ride your bike instead of drive your car?

If you want to give money to the National Arbor Foundation because you think it's a good charity that does good things for the environment, fine. Do it. Don't give some jackass twenty bucks because you drive a big car and eat too much Mexican food.

People have been farting since the dawn of time. The worst that happened is a few burned bottoms.

Farting in someones face when they passed out first? Nice. Farting in a car and pretending it was someone else? Sweet. Having a fart tax to save the environment?

Priceless.

I'm back. It's time to rant.

Someone brought to my attention the other day that I hadn't blogged in a while. You can thank 24 for that. I have been watching it from the beginning on DVD. Not a minor feat, let me tell you. 6 discs per season, 5 seasons on DVD so far, that's about...7960 discs. Needless to say, I would have stopped watching them had I not liked the show, but this was not the case. I was immediately hooked. Like when Cookie Monster had his first taste of a cookie. It was over. At the end of each episode I had a nagging feeling in the back of my head that screamed "Watch the next episode! What's Jack Bauer going to do next?" Many sleepless nights were caused by this show, but it was worth it.

I have come to a few realizations from watching the show. There are many people who make unimaginable sacrifices for a greater good, the United States of America. Police, Military and Intelligence members specifically. For instance,a Marine was struggling with an insurgent when the insurgent pulled out a grenade and dropped it at his feet. His men were nearby, so at that moment, he made a decision. He jumped on the grenade, trying to block his comrades from the force of the blast with his Kevlar lined Flak Helmet. He succeeded in saving the lives of his fellow Marines, but died later from shrapnel wounds.

Or what about Patti Sheehan's son? He had an opportunity to come home to the States, but declined so he could stay in Iraq and help keep his buddies safe. He was killed a short time later, doing just that, protecting his friends. Wow, what an awesome thing to think about. Laying down your life so your family or friends can live on. Dems don't understand this. They call it a waste. I wonder what they would do in the same situation? Probably stop and ask the insurgent to stop shooting at their friends because he might hurt them. Then wondering why the insurgent shot them in the stomach and kicking themselves for not sending better body armor to the troops.

I think we already have a rough idea. Right now the Dems are trying their damnedest to pull funding for the troop surge enacted by Bush. They bitch and moan about the 3100 some odd deaths in Iraq, yet their solution is to take away our reinforcements money, which in turn would force Bush to hold back on the surge. It doesn't make sense to me. If we honestly care about Iraq's future, how can we just leave? Are they really that ignorant to think that everything would be lollipop fields and candy smiles? The majority of Iraqis would like us to stay until they are confident in the Iraqi police and military. I apologize, but I'm going to have to go off on this for a minute. This whole argument about the deaths in Iraq is ridiculous. Last year in Philadelphia, there were over 400 murders. In one city, in one year. Lets assume the same murder rate in Philadelphia for the next two years, that's 1200 murders in 3 years, in an American city. Now folks, there is no war currently going on there. Lets take a few other cities, Washington DC and Dallas. I'm pretty sure we can hit 3100 easily. I don't hear Dems calling for a pullout of the Police in those cities. No call for the Presidents resignation over the thousands of murders in our own country every year. Yet in Iraq, in the middle of a war, we have 3100 deaths over 3 years and we have to leave now.

You know, a few years ago, H-Rod(Hillary Rodham Clinton) said that intelligence from the first Bush, Clinton and George W's Administrations all pointed to the need to help Iraq. And when I say help, I don't mean sending 18 nasty letters hoping Saddam can be guilted and brainwashed like all of Air America's listeners(all 3 of them). I mean going in there, snagging Saddam and setting up shop. Not taking over the country, but assuming operational responsibility for the security and safety of the country until the Iraqis can take over for themselves. Now H-Rod says "We have to end this war and we can't do it without Republican votes." So now, she can't even convince enough of her own party, she has to try and get a few weak willed Republicans to fear her so she can get the necessary votes.

Honestly, I think Dems have pushed this so far that Republicans might not have a chance in the 08 election. Right now there is no one that jumps out and grabs me as being an icon for the Republican party. Yet another year where we must decide on the least retarded representative. Yay. That in combination with all the anti-war rhetoric from the media may just seal the deal for the Dems Presidential aspirations.

Don't worry folks, I promise you, if a Liberal is elected to the Presidency, they will NOT be elected for a second term. My bet is it will take less than 2 years for the country to realize what a huge mistake they made, and they will not make that mistake twice. The Dems will spend all of their time taking your money and using it "for the common good". They'll make sure your kids never hear about religion, or play on the playground at recess. We'll no longer swear on a Bible in court as the founding fathers did, but swear on our favorite comic books or Hollywood movie scripts. All schools will teach of the folly of the Bush Administration and the evil Republicans and their big businesses while our country isolates itself from the world. Any countries needing military assistance will have to wait for our President to get caught with his sexetary in the Oval Office(Nice one Bill).

I'm done.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://rockinrepublican.blogspot.com/2007/02/im-back-its-time-to-rant.html' title='I'm back. Today, President Bush gave the Medal of Honor posthumously to a man who died for his brothers. A Marine named Cpl. Jason Dunham. This Marine, this...hero, threw his body on a grenade to save the life of his comrades.

And Ted Kennedy is trying to pull funding for the troops. I'm going to keep a few choice words to myself on this, but needless to say, this upsets me. I understand this is Ted Kennedy trying to make a statement about his stance on Bush sending reinforcements, but what are the soldiers going to think when they hear about this? The soldiers that are leaving their families, as SoonerFan(Daniel) mentioned in a previous blog, to protect a country they live in, and a country they've never seen before but on the television.

Your done, Ted. The fork is in my hand. If I see your fat ass walking down the street(or swerving drunkenly with a girl in your car), you better watch out.

Iran...again.

I don't see people taking this very seriously, so I figured I'd get this off my chest.

We're coming to an impasse. Iran's nuclear ambitions are going to drag the world into WW3. No, not wireless web 3, or Wacky Wheels 3, but World War 3. Israel has announced they are currently drawing up plans for a tactical low-yield nuclear strike against Iran's nuclear facilities. Evidently, they have intelligence that shows Iran is going to have enough enriched nuclear materials for weapons use within 2 years, and they aren't going to wait for them to get nukes before they handle their business. Come on people, what do we expect? Every other day someone from Iran is talking about wiping Israel off the face of the earth. They view Jews as an inferior race that must be extinguished.

Now I'm no historian, but I'm pretty sure the last time someone tried to extinguish the Jews, it was quite an ordeal, to put it lightly. If Hitler had nukes it would've been over.

Iran just threatened today to cut off the flow of oil through the Strait of Hormuz, which, according to the Iranian officer, sees 40% of the worlds oil pass through it's waters. Remember how bad it sucked to pay $3.30/gallon for gas? Think about what would happen if we had 40% less oil?

We also found out recently that Iran has sent personnel to Iraq to aid in the insurgency. They were found in a raid on insurgents in the war torn country. Two Iranians found had diplomatic papers and were sent back, while at least two others, who were members of the Iranian military, were held by US forces.

We've also got Democrats in the house that think pulling out of Iraq is the solution to the "Iraq Question". Right. So the Dems are a big fan of the "pulling out" method, eh? Based on the Dems stance on abortion I would guess this strategy hasn't proven successful in the past. Do you guys understand the idea of terrorism? The whole point is to use terror to gain some sort of goal. Well, if the insurgents are blowing troops up left and right, and we pull out of Iraq, then they get what they want. They can say "Look, terrorism works! The Americans have left!"

Come on guys...We've got enough troops there now, over 100,000 troops. If Bush wants to send 20,000 more, it's only going to help. The problem is, our troops are constantly worried about being sued for defending themselves, or thrown in jail. If we have troops there, we need take them off of their leash, to let them do what they've been trained to do, kick ass and take names.

Let the 20,000 troops help Iraq secure their borders to prevent further escalation due to Iranians and Syrians coming to aid the insurgency. Let the other 100,000 sweep Iraq. Clear the insurgents out once and for all. Give a press conference in Iraq to let the Iraqi people know about the sweep. Tell them we'll be going door to door and not to be frightened. Regardless of what you've heard, Iraqis don't like being blown to bits by suicide bombers. They're equally opposed to being kidnapped and shot in the head, left in a ditch somewhere.

We'll have the Iraqi troops with us as well, which should ease the minds of the Iraqi citizens.

The world is going to crap, people, and we need to do something about it. Not pull into the protective shell of our country and hope the world can work out it's own problems. Now I've strayed far from my original idea for this article, and I apologize.

We've got a country that's roughly the same size of New Jersey(if not smaller), that's being threatened by Iran and most other Muslims. They've got an advanced military and aren't afraid to use it. Are we going to back our friends, or turn our backs on them?

Iranians in Iraq

Well boys and girls, it looks like we found us some gen-u-ine Iranians in Iraq, and they're not there to have a bake sale, that's for damn sure. The Bush Administration refers to them as "senior military officials".

http://www.nytimes.com/2006/12/25/world/middleeast/25iraq.html?_r=1&ei=5094&en=b28c8833301f969e&hp=&ex=1167022800&partner=homepage&pagewanted=print&oref=slogin

Now I'm trying to be objective about this. I have a hard time understanding why Iranians would want to go to Iraq and help with the insurgency considering the vicious attacks on Iran perpetrated by "Sodom" Hussein in the 80's.

The news reports were not too terribly specific as to the details behind the capture and what evidence they had to back up their claims that these Iranians were there to aid in the insurgent attacks. Some people even claim that this was a publicity stunt in order to draw support for the US against Iran contingent.

It is somewhat ironic, assuming the captured Iranians are actually senior military officials that were indeed there for less than honorable reasons, that later that week the President of Iran, Ahmadinejad, said he hoped Saddam's hanging would bring stability to Iraq. Rrrrrright. You know, for a brief second, I wondered why Iran didn't send any troops to help with the Iraqi conflict. After all, Saddam was responsible for countless Iranian deaths. But then I realized, it's all a ploy. A clever ruse, if you would. Iran, much like many Democrats nowadays, are hell bent on us failing in Iraq. Regardless of their history with Saddam and Iraq, they still have priorities, and those priorities consist of a few things. Making the Americans look like Warlords, and, well, there was one more. What was it...? Oh yeah, wiping Israel off the face of the map. That's a whole new can of worms

Although, I don't know of alot of Republicans who have a fix for this issue either. But seriously, do we really want politicians making military decisions(based on their vast military strategical training)? I don't.

Lets get some concrete proof that these guys were aiding the insurgency in Iraq and do something about it.

Justice, served cold.

This just in, Saddam must be hanged within the next 30 days. A generous death considering the crime he's to be executed for; ordering the slaughter of 148 Shiites after a botched assassination attempt. He also has another trial pending for January over the chemical attack on Kurds in North Iraq. Hundreds died there...some just wish they did. I guess the Iraqis are trying to save money on the second trial and, as they say, "Get Er Done".

I was never quite so hot on the idea of electing a President in Iraq who's last name contained the word "Taliban". He just added an 'i'. Today I have been proven wrong. Although he didnt seem to directly effect the trial and he hasn't been a supporter of executions, he has, in the past, given authority to sign off on them to his vice president. But, even if the President and the Vice Presidents didn't approve it, the court has vowed to carry out the execution "by the power of the law". F$%k yeah.

Imagine the murders and executions he ordered that we don't know about. He's lucky. He was given the thing his people most deserved, a relatively fair trial...oh yeah, and not to be shot with chemical weapons.

Saddams gulags alone have seen an estimated 200,000 "dissappear". The NY Times said estimates of a million Iraqi's killed during Saddam's reign "may not be far from the mark." Iraq's population is roughly 22 million, give or take 1 or 2 people that got drunk and just sort of wandered off. Anyways, my point is, he killed 5% of the ENTIRE population of Iraq! It's about time a heaping helping of justice was served.

Now I'm going to watch the news for the next few days, and if I see a bunch of panty waisted liberals crying about how horrible it is to be hung, well, they wouldn't know the first thing about being hung. I mean that in a few ways, which I'm sure you can guess.

Let the Iraqis handle their business and move on with their lives.

Not-so Silent Spring

Fear not, for I am back!

Now we're going to talk about DDT. Now when I say we, I really mean "Me". I do, however, enjoy hearing how retarded you think I am, so feel free to comment. DDT is the worlds first, and best known organic pesticide. It was created in an effort to combat mosquitoes that spread malaria and other diseases.

In the mid-50's the WHO(World Health Organization) started a campaign to eradicate malaria. Barring some remote locations, this program was a huge success worldwide. Thanks to DDT, the mortality rates for malaria dropped almost 85%. However, efforts to completely rid the world of malaria morphed into a desire to merely control and treat the disease.

In the late 50's-early 60's, doubts began to arise as to the environmental effects of this pesticide. Most people in opposition to the use of DDT claim some maternal connection with a few birds that might not like the smell of the chemical. According to research from the International Development Research Center, malaria kills roughly 8000 Brazilians yearly. With that in mind, do we really value the life of a few birds over 8000 people a year? That's just one country out of the entire world. And besides, they invented the Brazilian Bikini Wax! What guy isn't happy about that? I digress. Just to throw in another stat for ya, WHO claims over 1 million deaths per year from malaria.

A writer named Rachel Carson hears some grumblings about DDT and is urged to write a book about it. And she does. The book toys with the idea of the bird population being drastically reduced to nigh extinction(because of DDT), and chaos ensues. Oh yeah, and it gives people cancer, too.

Evidently, contrary to what everyone thinks, some Democrats read books(besides Mien Kampf by the ever so misunderstood Hitler), and they happened to read this one. After reading the book, somehow, fiction morphed into fact and they took up the cause of getting this horrible doomsday chemical banned. So a group was started called "EDF" or the Environmental Defense Fund, whose first goal was to get DDT banned. They were successful.

Now, more than 40 years after "Silent Spring", the world has come to it's senses. Evidently we realized a few robins dying every once and a while from eating a chunk of DDT wasn't worth MILLIONS of people dying all around the world every year. I wonder how they came to that conclusion?

I know this post wasn't as funny as Barak Obama's ears, but who can compete with them? What do they have in common? We'll tell you, after this...

Every once in a while, every hundred years or so, there are some people who make us toy with the idea of revoking freedom of speech on a case-by-case basis. Rosie? You're one of them.

The View has made a habit out of making retarded comments. Like this one, from a week or so ago, pertaining to Sen. Tim Johnson's medical issues. Co-Host Joy Behar asked, "Is there such a thing as a man made stroke? In other words, did someone do this to him?" Co-host Elizabeth Hasselbeck, wife of the NFL quarterback and a conservative, replies "Let me ask you something. Why is everything coming from the liberal perspective a consipiracy?"

Behar then said "I know what this--that party is capable of."

I guess that's why Dick Cheney always insisted on buying Sen. Johnson the Quadruple Meat Triple Cheese w/Double bacon burger. Or maybe she's referring to the ever-so elusive "Stroke Factory" run by conservatives and crazy gun toting Republicans.

I bring this up because of the recent feud between Rosie and Donald Trump. She claimed that he's filed bancruptcy 3 times. She said he had no right to pass judgement on the drunken Miss America. First off, he hasn't claimed bancruptcy. Someone once said that facts are biased, they were joking Rosie. Second, he OWNS the Miss America competition/company. It's his. If he wants to set certain standards for the title holders, it is his right. It is a voluntary contest and he gets to set the rules. Kind of like you when you had your magazine. Although, it's probably not the best comparison considering your magazine got shut down after stiff competition from Under-Water Basket Weavers of the World(UWBWW) Monthly, and Trump's Miss America Pageant is still going strong.

My prediction? The View is doomed unless they get rid of Rosie. Don't get me wrong, I don't watch the show. I can't stand the show. With that being said, I don't see it lasting longer than one more year with her flapping her cornhole. And Rosie? I hope The View is paying you alot, because I can assure you if you don't shut up fast, Trump is going to sue you. Not that he'll get much more than a few pairs of Doc Martins and a couple of flannel shirts, but it's the principle of the thing. Don't know what principles are? No Rosie, not the people in school who kept suspending you because you were beating up all the guys. But then again, this is my blog. So it would make sense that I would be back. The question is, "Why are YOU back?" I'll tell you why. Because you are riveted at the thought of my next...thought. Brace yourselves...

Recently my sister said that she thought hot chicks on TV are causing more girls to become bulimic or anorexic(SP?).

To that I say POPPYCOCK! Kind of.

When I'm watching TV and I see that damn Bow Flex commercial come on, I do exactly what every other normal adult male does. I think "Yeah, I'm gonna get one of those and get ripped, then I'll get all the girls." When the next commercial is over I'm thinking "Yeah, I'll get a bunch of double cheeseburgers, then I'll get all the girls." You know what? I don't know anyone who bought the bow flex. I definitely don't know of anyone who has all the girls, except for Heidi Fleiss. She's got most of them.

Walk with me a moment to another dimension... A dimension where TV stars think it's hot to smear jello all over themselves. Does that mean women all over the world would smear jello on themselves to be hot? I don't think so. Although, that would be awesome. But seriously, common sense has to take over at some point.

When do we stop pointing the finger at others and take a look in the mirror for the source of the problem? With anything in life, at some point, we are expected to be able to discern good from bad.

Throwing up? Bad. Doing it 3 times a day? Really bad. Doing it because the TV told you to? Priceless.

Use your brains people. If you want to be gain/lose weight, try regular exercise. Maybe eat healthy? Either way, do it for yourselves, and do it right.

The TV doesn't tell us what to do. Besides, if the TV told us what to do, what would women do all day long?

Alright, I'm done.

Wow.

One word. Wow.

Let me tell you a little story. This story is about a place where everyone does whatever they want. Everyone has their own ideas and everyone is right in their own special/retarded way. You could call it moral relativism. I do.

I'm going somewhere with this, I promise. The definition of moral relativism reads "the position that moral or ethical propositions do not reflect absolute and universal moral truths, but instead make claims relative to social, cultural, historical or personal circumstances. "

No longer is science the answer. Facts are flexible based on a number of factors. What's right for some may not be right for others. I'm going to take relativism one step further. The Law of Non-Contradiction. Aristotle states "One cannot say of something that it is and it is not in the same respect and at the same time. " In other words, an apple cannot be an apple AND an orange in the same time, in the same situation. Without this rule, much of what we accept as common sense can be thrown out the window. Okay, as I said, going somewhere.

New York City has put forth a proposal to allow people change their sex, legally, without any sort of operation. Yep, that's right. John wants to become Jane, so he goes to his doctor. His doctor laughs a bit, then says "Sure, why not." He has to assume the identity of Jane for 2 years and then it can be official.

http://www.nytimes.com/2006/11/07/nyregion/07gender.html?ex=1320555600&en=2586a6bc89530f49&ei=5088&partner=rssnyt&emc=rss

You smell what I'm stepping in? Anatomy? What's that? Oh it's just a bunch of silly stories about people's bodies.

So questions where obviously raised. Could I "become a woman" and then go into the womens locker room?

"What are you doing in here?"

"Don't worry ladies, I'm with you. I'm a woman!"

"Well if you're a woman, what's that--"

"Don't mind that...it's nothing."

Are you guys serious? How many people in New York City really want to change gender, but without the surgery? Seriously. How many people in New York City don't have enough food to eat? One is more important than the other, and New Yorkers have voiced their opinions as the proposal seems to have been withdrawn, for now.

I must end it here, as it is 3:30 in the morning, and my employer is tired of me snoring at work. Here is a quote that seems to fit this little rant tonight/this morning.

"Anyone who denies the law of non-contradiction should be beaten and burned until he admits that to be beaten is not the same as not to be beaten, and to be burned is not the same as not to be burned.” Avicenna, Medieval Philosopher

So last night, in Oklahoma of all places, winter finally started. It began with thunder and lightning and slowly progressed to a thunder/lightning/sleet/rain/snow mix, Which, coincidentally, covered my car in a sheet of ice.
While in the process of breaking my car out of it's icy prison, I noticed a windshield wiper was frozen to my windshield. After doing a quick "roll call", I realized I still had both wipers in tact. They looked fine, blades and all, but I still had a third one in my hand.
One of a few things happened. Either my windshield wipers multiplied and left one of their offspring to freeze to death on my windshield, or someone left their broken windshield wiper on my windshield just to mess with me. Or, better yet, it could always have been my current windshield wipers getting lazy and outsourcing their work to the Chinese wiper blades.
That being said...If I ever catch someone trying to freeze broken car parts to my car, I'll go medieval on their ass.

Dr. King

Well boys and girls, here's another one for ya.

Recently I saw on the news that President Bush was speaking at the inauguration of a memorial to Martin Luther King. As they were discussing the details, they revealed the price tag for this memorial. One hundred million dollars. That's right. $100,000,000. If you could see me now, I'm putting my pinky on my lip, Dr. Evil style.

I want you to sit there for a moment and think about that. Can you think of any better ways to spend a hundred million dollars to honor a man who dedicated his life to helping others? Don't get me wrong, I'm no rocket scientist, but I can come up with a couple of ideas that would be a little more in tune with Dr. King's legacy.

How about dividing up all that loot between a thousand kids to put them through college? Lets see, that's $100,000 per child. That should get them a 4 year degree or at least well on their way.

Or we could take that money and give it to families in need. All those people that have been stuck living in trailer homes since Katrina? I'm sure they wouldn't mind someone donating a home to a thousand of them.

My point here is this. Dr. King was a great man. A man who should be honored and remembered. But what would he say if someone told him "When you die, we will spend one hundred million dollars for a memorial in your name." Do you think he would be happy? If you do, you are probably looking at the wrong website and should save yourself the time of reading this blog in the future.

Keep on keepin on.

Disclaimer.

***I cannot accept responsibility for anything on this page that you don't like. Everything else, that was me.***

Friends, Republicans, Countrymen, lend me your ears.

Today is Opening Day. Rockin Republican has taken the stage. Figuratively speaking, of course. My job here will be simple. I will do my best to impart all of the knowledge and wisdom that resides within me, to you. That's right, you. It's like winning the lottery, only you don't get any money. Hopefully my plethora of knowledge won't be exhausted in one post.

Coming to my assistance will be you. The world. Politics will be my playground, but I will occasionally take detours into the land of, well, I'm not quite sure yet. We'll figure that out when we get there.

Speaking of playgrounds. More and more schools are banning tag and other popular recess favorites such as touch football because the schools are afraid of being sued if a child injures himself playing. Are we so scared that our children will ever experience any sort of pain that we will go as far as calling on our schools to ban playing? Do we really want to raise a whole generation of kids who sit around and play Magic: The Gathering all day long and joke about mana and magic slippers? The NFL will be doomed in 15 years. I got hurt while playing plenty of times when I was a child and I turned out fine...well, maybe we should ban tag.

Now let me say this, and really, you have no choice. I have no political background. I have no degree in politics. Anything I say in here could, quite possibly, be pulled right out of my cornhole. As much as I can, I will include sources(credible if possible), or, worst case scenario, a disclaimer letting you know I have absolutely no factual backing to my ramblings.

Time to wrap this up. This is more of an introduction than anything.
